The company in turn invests Asus in the market for touch interfaces, announcing the release at Computex in early 2011 of a touch pad: Eee Pad.
From a technical point of view, the iPad has much to be done.

Asus Eee Tablet Pad is available in several sizes, 10 and 12 inches. Asus has chosen larger than the iPad , a diagonal size of 9.7 inches.
Equipped with an Intel Core 2 Duo low power and a battery can hold charge for 10 hours, the touch pad will Windows 7 operating system. There is also talk of an alternative system jointly developed by Intel and Nokia Meego.
Asus seems to have its product integrated into the main criticisms made against Apple.
Contrary to the iPad, the touch pad Eee Pad will have a USB port and the Web browser will be able to read the lyrics.
The model 10-inch tablet will likely be sold between 300 and € 400 over € 450 for the 12 inch version. Positioning very reasonable compared to the product offered by Apple.
On the other hand, it seems that the output of the touch pad to be accompanied by an online application store, 2000 applications are available from marketing.
The video below presents the main features of the Eee Pad. It will be noted with some disappointment that most of the features are not operational during this demonstration, it goes without saying that the final will see all these mistakes corrected.
The touch pad Asus Eee Pad will extend the offer in place, to take his share.
