The rumor spread like wildfire for some time: Apple sells a miniature version of the iPad later this year.
An iPad with a 7-inch diagonal, capable of displaying a resolution of 1024x 768 pixels. The new touch pad from Apple would have the same technical features as its big sister.

Halfway between the mobile phone and the touch pad, this new version of the iPad seems to target a particular customer roaming in search of a balance between compact size and ease of use.
Three manufacturers are involved in the development of mini iPad: Chimei Innolux for the slab of the screen, Cando Corporation for touch technology and Compal Electronics who would take care of the assembly.
Of course, the rumor has not been commented on by Apple. No information on market rates is therefore possible at this time.
However, designing an iPad into small size is not a bad idea in the context of mobile use.
